Our 2005-2006 Student Highlights
- Seventy-five wonderful mentors worked with our students!
- Eleven freshmen took the SAT and each student received a score of 980 or above.
- Students read 238 books, averaging 7.9 books per student.
- All students have updated resumes
- A team of 6 students established guidelines for operating the B.P.H.S. Legacy Foundation
- Students have registered for special online courses through the "Virtual High School" (VHS) network for the fall.
- Students have had poetry published in the Echoes Magazine
- Students completed Toastmaster's International (an organization which develops the skills needed to speak in public).
- Students completed a stock market course with Edward Jones
- One student viewed by-pass surgery while at his internship
- One student is participating in a production of Grease at MLC
- Students completed all of the "Diversity in Leadership" training
- Four students and a staff member participated in a live radio broadcast on WTIC News Talk 1080
- Two students received the Superintendents Award
- One student received the Rotary Club Award
- One student received the Intern of the Year Award
- One student now serves on the Board of Directors at the 4-H Farm
- One student has registered for a college course at Capital Community College as a result of successfully completing a VHS course
- Students joined NSBE,Jr and traveled to Pittsburgh, PA for the national convention.
